What GoHighLevel includes, in one paragraph
GoHighLevel's features cover five jobs: capturing leads, following up with them, closing the sale, collecting reviews and winning back old customers. The $97 per month Starter plan lists all core features, with unlimited contacts and users, as read on 3 October 2026.
The higher plans do not unlock a longer marketing feature list. They add account-level capabilities for agencies: more sub-accounts, rebilling of usage to clients, API tiers and a mode for reselling the software. Phone numbers, calls, texts, emails and premium AI are billed by usage on every plan.
Features grouped by the job each one does
| Job | Features named | Plan needed |
|---|---|---|
| Capture a lead | CRM, forms and surveys, websites and funnels, chat widget, call tracking, Missed Call Text Back, Voice AI, social planner, ad manager | Starter (all core features) |
| Follow up | Workflows and automations, sales pipelines, calendars, appointment reminders, Conversation AI, ringless voicemail, automated outbound call connect, mobile app | Starter (all core features) |
| Close and get paid | Lead scoring, estimates and proposals, invoicing, payment integrations, order forms, memberships and courses, Text-2-Pay, Tap-2-Pay | Starter (all core features) |
| Collect reviews | Reputation management, automated review requests, AI review reply, affiliate manager | Starter (all core features) |
| Win back old customers | Broadcast campaigns, smart lists, Content AI | Starter (all core features) |
HighLevel does not publish a feature-by-feature plan matrix on the pages read. The pricing page says Starter includes all core features, and the homepage lists the features above. Treat the plan column as that general statement, not a per-feature guarantee.
Features that need a higher plan or a paid add-on
| Feature | Where it starts | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 3 sub-accounts | Starter | $97 per month or $970 per year |
| Unlimited sub-accounts | Unlimited | $297 per month or $2,970 per year |
| Rebilling phone and email usage without markup | Unlimited | Included in plan |
| Basic API access | Listed on the pricing page from Unlimited | Included in plan |
| SaaS Mode and automated sub-account creation | Agency Pro | $497 per month or $4,970 per year |
| Rebilling with markup, user and agent reporting, Advanced API | Agency Pro | Included in plan |
| HIPAA compliance with a business associate agreement | Add-on on any plan | $297 per month, account-wide |
| AI Employee Unlimited | Add-on | $97 per month per enabled location |
| White-label mobile app | Add-on | $497 per month |
| Premium support | Add-on | $500 per month or $5,000 per year |
| Dedicated email IP | Add-on | $59 per month |
One conflict is worth knowing. A HighLevel support article says Basic API access is available on Starter and Unlimited, while the pricing page lists it first under Unlimited. The API page explains the difference.
Phone, text and email features are billed by usage
The calling and messaging features are included, but each use costs money from a prepaid wallet that tops up automatically. US rates as read on 3 October 2026:
- Local phone number: $1.15 per month. Toll-free: $2.15 per month.
- SMS: $0.00747 per segment, sent or received.
- Outbound calls: $0.0166 per minute. Inbound calls to a local number: $0.01165 per minute.
- Email: $0.675 per 1,000 emails. Email validation: $2.50 per 1,000.
- Call recording: $0.0025 per minute. Transcription: $0.024 per minute.
A business that sends 1,000 text segments, makes 500 minutes of outbound calls and sends 5,000 emails in a month would add about $7.47, $8.30 and $3.38 to the $97 plan, plus the number. Sending texts also needs a number registered for A2P 10DLC or a verified toll-free number. The cost page covers this in full.
What GoHighLevel does not include
- No free plan. There is a 14-day trial, then the $97 plan. HubSpot and Zoho CRM both offer a free tier.
- No HIPAA compliance by default. It is a $297 per month add-on that cannot be removed once enabled.
- No bundled message or call allowance. Every text, minute and email is charged.
- No job dispatch tools named. The public feature list does not mention crew scheduling or job costing. Trades that need those should compare Jobber.
- No sales forecasting described on the pages read. Teams that need them should compare Salesforce.
- No refunds. The Terms say all fees are non-refundable.
The job dispatch and sales forecasting absences are based on what the public pages list. They are not official statements that the features do not exist.
Which features matter for answering leads faster
For a small business, four features do most of the work: the phone number with Missed Call Text Back, the shared Conversations inbox, a workflow that follows up when nobody replies, and a pipeline that shows which leads are waiting. All four are on Starter.
The rest is useful only if you will set it up. A buyer who needs just the CRM part can read whether GoHighLevel is a CRM. Prices were read on 3 October 2026 and can change.
