Is GoHighLevel right for an insurance agency?
GoHighLevel fits insurance agents whose problem is speed and persistence: a quote request comes in and needs a quick call back, and renewals a year later decide whether the client stays. It gives you calling, texting, email, pipelines and automation in one account with unlimited users.
HighLevel publishes a Property and Casualty Insurance Snapshot, a ready-made template with a website, forms, calendars, workflows, email campaigns, ads and social posts. It is a starting point, not an insurance system. Nothing in the pages read for this guide describes policy rating or policy records of the kind an agency management system holds.
Quote requests, renewals and birthdays: the triggers that do the work
Insurance follow-up is date driven, and HighLevel's workflow trigger list has the pieces for it.
| Agency task | Trigger | How HighLevel describes it |
|---|---|---|
| New quote request from an ad | Facebook Lead Form Submitted | Fires when a Facebook lead form submission is received |
| Lead bought from a vendor | Inbound Webhook | Fires when data reaches the workflow's webhook address |
| Policy renewal coming up | Custom Date Reminder | Fires before, on or after a chosen date field |
| Client birthday | Birthday Reminder | Runs daily at 8 AM in the account time zone |
| Quote sent, no answer | Stale Opportunities | Fires when an opportunity meets your inactivity rule |
| Prospect calls back and nobody answers | Missed Call Text Back | Sends an automatic SMS to the caller |
The renewal reminder depends on one thing: a renewal date stored on each contact or opportunity. If that date is missing or wrong, nothing fires. For calling new leads in order, see how the HighLevel dialer works.
Plan choice and a worked month for a five-producer agency
One agency needs one sub-account, so Starter covers it. All plans include unlimited users, so five producers cost the same as one. Prices were read on 3 October 2026 and can change.
| Plan | Price | Main difference |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97 per month or $970 per year | 3 sub-accounts, unlimited contacts and users |
| Unlimited | $297 per month or $2,970 per year | Unlimited sub-accounts |
| Agency Pro | $497 per month or $4,970 per year | SaaS Mode and rebilling with markup |
Assume 200 new leads in the month. Each gets two call attempts of two minutes and four one-segment texts, 300 replies come back, and 150 renewal reminder emails go out.
| Item | Calculation | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|
| Starter plan | Flat fee | $97.00 |
| Local phone number | 1 x $1.15 | $1.15 |
| A2P campaign fee, Low Volume Mixed Use | Recurring | $1.50 |
| Outbound calls | 800 minutes x $0.0166 | $13.28 |
| Text messages | 1,100 segments x $0.00747 | $8.22 |
| Renewal emails | 150 emails at $0.675 per 1,000 | $0.10 |
| Total | $121.25 |
A one-time A2P brand registration of $22.50, extra numbers at $1.15 each and variable carrier fees are not included. Use the cost worksheet with your own lead volume.
The limitation: no documented link to your management system or rater
Most agencies already keep policies in an agency management system and quote through a comparative rater. None of the HighLevel pages read for this guide describes an integration with either. Policy and renewal dates would reach HighLevel by CSV import, a webhook or manual entry, and someone has to keep them current.
Agents who handle health information should also know that HighLevel accounts are not HIPAA compliant by default. The HIPAA add-on costs $297 per month on any plan and cannot be removed once enabled. Details are on the GoHighLevel legitimacy and compliance page.
AgencyZoom as the insurance-specific alternative

| Users included | Unlimited | Up to 7 on every plan |
| Management system and rater integration | Not described | Listed on Essential |
